The 'Brief, Not a Question' Mindset

The single biggest upgrade to your AI results isn't a trick — it's a shift in how you think about the interaction. Beginners ask questions. Skilled users write briefs.

A question is: "How do I write a good email?" A brief is: "You're a professional copywriter. Rewrite the email below to be warmer and more concise, keep it under 120 words, and don't add a sign-off."

A Concrete Example

A manager who briefs a designer with "make a logo" gets something unusable. A manager who says "make a minimalist logo for a coffee brand, earthy tones, no text, works on a small app icon" gets something close to right. The AI is your designer here — the more of a real brief you give it, the less back-and-forth you need.

Every strong prompt is a brief in disguise.
