Privacy Policy
Last updated August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Hivework ("we," "us," "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Hivework platform, websites, and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Google user data statement: Hivework's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. Account details (such as your name, email, and handle), the content and configurations you create, the credentials and tools you connect, and anything you send us when you contact support.
Information from your use of the Service. Run history, logs, usage metrics, device and browser information, and similar technical data generated as you build and run Agents.
Information from third parties, including Google. When you connect a third-party account — for example a Google Account via Google Sign-In or a Google Workspace API (such as Gmail, Calendar, or Drive) — we receive the data associated with the specific scopes you authorize during that connection. This may include, depending on what you connect and authorize:
- Your basic Google profile information (name, email address, profile photo) if you use Google Sign-In;
- The content of specific files, messages, or calendar events, but only within the scopes you grant and only to run the Agent you configured to use them.
We only request the scopes an Agent actually needs for the feature you're setting up. Google will show you the exact scopes requested at the time you authorize the connection.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and secure the Service;
- run your Agents and show you their run history and costs, including executing the specific actions on connected accounts (like Google) that you've configured an Agent to perform;
- process payments and prevent fraud and abuse;
- provide support and respond to your requests;
- improve user-facing features of the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve the user-facing Agent features you've configured — nothing more. Specifically:
- We do not use data obtained through Google APIs to train or improve any generalized or personalized machine learning or AI model.
- We do not use data obtained through Google APIs to serve ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
- We do not allow humans (including our own staff or engineers you commission) to read the content of your Google messages, files, or other data unless we have first obtained your affirmative agreement to view that specific content, or the access is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating a bug or abuse) or to comply with the law.
- We retain data obtained through Google APIs only for as long as needed to provide the feature you authorized it for, and no longer than any applicable cache limits set by Google.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or transfer data obtained through Google APIs to advertisers, data brokers, or other information resellers. We share information only:
- with service providers (such as hosting, payment, and infrastructure vendors) who process it on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations, and, for Google user data, only as necessary to provide or improve the user-facing features you've configured;
- with third-party tools you connect, as needed to run your Agents;
- with engineers you commission, limited to what is needed for the work you agree to, and subject to the same Limited Use restrictions described in this Policy;
- when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service; and
- as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.
4. Connected tools and credentials
You control which tools and accounts you connect, and you can disconnect them at any time — either from your Hivework settings or, for Google Accounts, from your Google Account permissions page. We protect connected credentials with technical safeguards and use them only to operate the Agents you've configured. Each connected tool's own privacy practices govern the data it holds.
5. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution needs. Data obtained through Google APIs is retained only as long as needed for the feature it supports, consistent with Section 2. You can request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including data obtained through connected Google Accounts, in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Tell us right away at hello@hivework.xyz if you believe your account or data has been compromised.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@hivework.xyz. You can also delete your account, which removes the data we hold for it — including any data obtained through connected Google Accounts — subject to the limited retention described above.
8. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice and update the "Last updated" date above. If a change affects the type of Google user data we access or how we use it, we will also prompt you to consent to that change before we begin the new use. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
